MPCA Corner

Mark your calendars, the Maryland Planning Commissioners Association (MPCA) 40th Annual Conference is only two months away! The MPCA recently released the preliminary conference program, which has been expanded from the normal two days to three days in celebration of the organization’s 40th anniversary.
The MPCA thanks everyone who submitted session proposals addressing this year’s theme, 40 Years of Change, 40 years of Opportunity. The MPCA is still finalizing the details in coordination with Queen Anne’s County, our partners, and our distinguished panelists, but we encourage you to check out everything the program has to offer!
Don’t forget to register and join the MPCA at the Kent Island Resort on October 24 through 26 for two and a-half days of citizen planner education, camaraderie, and networking. And don’t delay, the early bird registration rate ends August 31st!
The MPCA is also seeking conference sponsors. All sponsors will have direct access to conference offerings and be included in conference communications and materials. Even modest amounts go a very long way in helping the small, volunteer-based organization continue to expand its educational and assistance offerings to Maryland’s citizen planners year-round. Learn more about sponsorship opportunities in the link above.
We hope to see you and hope your fellow board or commission members can join us on Kent Island this October!
