Maryland Planning Commissioners Association Launches Regional Workshop Program in Hagerstown on March 29

MPCA Corner

Participants in the Maryland Planning Commissioners Association’s (MPCA) summer ’17 outreach project expressed a strong desire for regional collaboration and enhanced opportunities for communication and peer to peer learning. The MPCA heard its membership and included the development of regional collaboration in its strategic plan, finalized in January 2019.

This effort kicks off with the first of many regional workshops in Hagerstown on Friday, March 29. Join the MPCA at the University System of Maryland Hagerstown and share your voice in a dialogue about the following topics:

Nuts and Bolts of Being a Planning Commissioner
Ethics and Ex Parte Communication
Online Resources
Regional Issues

The MPCA encourages both citizen and professional planners to register for free at https://mpcaworkshophagerstown.bpt.me. The 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. workshop is open to everyone and includes lunch! Take this opportunity to network with and learn from your fellow planners and commissioners.
