CARES for Planners

Planning in Progress

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, late last month the Federal Government passed a $2 trillion relief bill known as the CARES Act. This act includes $4.6 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and $12.5 million in homelessness services funding earmarked for Maryland. We understand that time is of the essence in the distribution of these funds to Maryland’s communities. Join Maryland DHCD staff members Cindy Stone, Director of Community Development Programs, and Stuart Campbell, Director of Community Programs, as well as Maryland Department of Planning staff, to learn more about the CARES Act and how Maryland’s jurisdictions can access the available funding.

Join us on Tuesday, April 28 from 2:30 to 4:00 by emailing Joe Griffiths at joseph.griffiths@maryland.gov. Joe will follow up with your invitation.
