MDOT to Host Zero Emission Webinars in October

Planning in Progress

In close coordination with the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE) and the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA), the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a series of webinars in October to promote collaboration on the adoption of Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) and deployment of ZEV infrastructure throughout Maryland. They are seeking input from local agencies and professionals across the state and neighboring regions.

During the regional webinars, MDOT will:

  • Share the results of the recent statewide emerging technologies preparedness surveys.
  • Communicate Maryland’s progress and objectives in ZEV and related technologies to interested agencies and provide them with opportunities to align activities and collaborate.
  • Provide MDOT, MDE, and MEA the opportunity to listen and learn about local agency’s challenges and prospects in ZEV and related technologies.

Later in the month, a statewide webinar will be held to share what was learned during the three regional webinars as we look for ways to coordinate a unified approach (see map below).

Please join this important dialogue! All three webinars will be conducted from 2:00-3:00 pm. If you are unable to attend the webinar specific to your region, please consider joining one of the other regions. The schedule for the webinars is:

Western region: Tuesday, October 6

Eastern Shore: Wednesday, October 7

Central region: Thursday, October 8

And be sure to Save the Date for the statewide webinar,

Wednesday, October 28 from 2:00pm-3:00pm!
