Continuing Maryland Department of Planning’s (Planning) participation in the Mid-Atlantic Planning Collaboration and as an extension of our Military and Community Compatibility website, Planning has scheduled a second compatible use planning in the Mid-Atlantic region webinar on April 6, 2023, from noon to 1:30 pm.
Planning hosted the first webinar, partnering with Maryland and Virginia planners and military installations, in August 2021
The webinar will host compatible use experts from Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic with experience from both sides of the fence, to discuss best practices and resources for collaboration. In addition to introducing Maryland’s first of its kind compatible use website and handbook, webinar topics include:
- The successful Charles County, Maryland Military Installation Resilience Review and regional collaboration forums
- Compatible Use Studies at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware
- Federal planning efforts by the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, Virginia, including compatible use studies, military installation resiliency reviews, and project implementation strategies
This webinar is eligible for 1.5 AICP credits
