The Mid-Atlantic Planning Collaboration Exemplifies Regional Cooperation
Training Sessions Available November 5 – December 17
Planning in Progress
In spring 2020, a truly impressive coalition of Mid-Atlantic planning organizations came together to discuss a multi-state digital training series, scheduled for this fall. This initiative is a group effort including West Virginia University’s Land Use and Sustainable Development Law Clinic, the Maryland Department of Planning, Maryland Planning Commissioners Association, Rural Planning Caucus of Virginia, and the APA Chapters for Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and the National Capital Area. That is a lot of planning expertise!
Starting on November 5 and running through December 17, the collaboration will conduct the following sessions, all eligible for AICP credits:
11/5: Land Use Law Update
11/10: Ethics
11/12: Sign Ordinances
11/24: Better Public Engagement
12/1: The Planner’s Toolkit
12/3: Legal Issues with Green Energy
12/8: Broadband
12/17: Equity Planning
