The Maryland Historical Trust is hosting six webinars in November and January for prospective applicants for the Historic Preservation Capital Grant Program. This competitive funding program provides grants for construction projects on buildings or structures listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Attend a webinar to learn if your project is eligible, what is required for submitting an application, how to convey an easement, and more. You can learn more about the grant program on our website.

This interactive session will use sample application answers to offer tips for approaching your preservation project and grant application. Attendees are encouraged to bring project-specific questions.

Preservation Easement Q&A
Learn about the process involved in conveying a preservation easement to MHT and how the easement fits into grant project timelines. This session is intended primarily as a Q&A webinar for applicants whose properties do not yet have a preservation easement through MHT.

Religious Sites Q&A
Grant projects involving religious sites have special requirements and considerations for eligible work, organizational documents, and approaches to public benefit. MHT grants staff are partnering with representatives from Partners for Sacred Spaces to share tips and resources for enhancing your preservation and history outreach impact. Attendees are encouraged to share their own preservation successes and network at the end of the session.
